I have been a member of the DAA for 6 years. I have an Associate Degree in design from Chicago Art Institute. I am married with 5 children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 cats. I also work full-time as a manager in the staffing industry. Much of my time is spent volunteering in my community.

(br)For over 30 years, I have been a calligrapher specializing in addressing wedding invitations. My clients have come from all over the U.S. and I have addressed, in calligraphy, as few as 100 and as many as 2000 invitations for one wedding.

(br)About 3 years ago I became very interested in the late artist, Walter Anderson, who lived most of his life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I began collecting his unique block print reproductions that he had created in the late 1940’s made from wood and linoleum. They are silk screened by hand onto acid-free lenin paper and I watercolor these prints. Hurricane Katrina destroyed many of these blocks but they are now being restored in the Walter Anderson Shop and there is a good selection to choose from. I started by donating many of these prints to charitable organizations and people began to ask me to paint these for them using colors to match their décor.

(br)Since my life is very full, I find my only creative outlet is in the arts and I truly love to watercolor the Walter Anderson prints and calligraphy to fulfill some of my creative urges.
