I was born at home on Armistice Day in 1926, and raised on Bolivar county farms at Skene, Duncan, and Gunnison. I attended Blue Mountain College until I married Ira Daniel (Cotton) Fowler. We were married for fifty-six years and owned and operated the cable systems in Rosedale and Shaw, and a television and appliance store in Rosedale. After work we would hunt for Indian artifacts which are displayed in my garage museum along with some of my paintings and a multitude of my finds. My ancestral home on the Blanchard Indian Mound complex was built in 1865, the oldest standing residence in Bolivar County, Mississippi.
