Belinda Bowdre was born in Jackson, MS, but raised most of her life in Yazoo City. She graduated from Yazoo City High School. She was an active member of the newspaper staff and wrote “Featured Articles” and “Poetry”. Her writing talents won her awards that helped to inspire and nurture her own creativity. She became a member of the DAA Juried Art Exhibit, Nina Bologna’s Fine Art Exhibit. Her paintings have been on display at the Meridian Museum of Art in Meridian, MS. Belinda has enjoyed the privilege of sharing her art with others by allowing her art to become part of their families and consequently, part of themselves.
